Why portable software so popular?
Don't want to install (don't want administrator permission)
Today we can see lot of portable software. But if we can make Portable Software which we want our self it's very interesting.
There are lot of ways to create portable software.
I tell you first the easiest way to create portable software with WinRAR.
to do this you want only WinRAR software. It's not in your computer first install it.
Then Select the software which you want to make portable. First install the software which you want to create portable. Then copy installed directory to any other place.(Please select small software first. I select Text Pad 5.)
Files and folders in the installing directory as shown in figure
Select all the files and and Right Click on a file
Select "Add to archive...." from pop up menu. "Archive name and parameter" window will appear.
- Can be use any where (Office, College, University, etc)
- Can be run directly on your Flash Drive

Select all the files and and Right Click on a file
Do following changes in that dialog- Select "Archive Format to "ZIP"
- Change "compression method" to best
- tick "Create SFX archive"
- Change "Archive Name" if you want
- Then select Advanced tab
- Select SFX Options
- Advanced SFX Options dialog will appeare
- Select Modes tab and adjust settings as shown in below.
Then press Ok buttons in both windows. Now you have created a portable software your self.
Create more, enjoy it and share with friends.
